The model features a double-barrel and Victorian-era, rebounding mule-ear external hammers. The pistol grip stock features laser checkering and an attractive, color case-hardened frame. The gun has double triggers and is chambered for 3-inch shells. The fit and finish are much improved from the 1878 Coach Gun and the quality is highly regarded among competitive Cowboy Action Shooters.
PGW Competition Action Job Includes:
Honing the chambers, radiusing and polishing the chamber mouths, refitting the forearm if necessary, replacing the latch lever safety spring for a lighter feel on the thumb lever, disengaging the automatic safety, installing stainless steel firing pins (depending on the shotgun make), manually adjusting the forearm to insure an easy open of the chamber, and finally test firing and checking for proper extraction and release of spend shells.
We don't do action work on all double barrel shotguns. Stoeger, Baikal, Huglu, Charles Daly, CZ, Browning and TNN are the most common shotguns that we work on. If you have something different, PLEASE call to see if it's one that we can work on. Single or double trigger coach-guns can be worked on as well.
